Looking for sewing fabrics? We recently visited Greens in Blackburn to see what they have on offer.
With highstreet fabric shops on the decline and online stores taking over it is becoming harder and harder to find shops where you can touch and feel the fabrics before you buy.
When dressmaking especially its nice to see the fabric before you commit and to see how the fabric handles and drapes.
Greens Fabrics is on Cicely Lane in Blackburn and is a sister company of Leons in Chorlton and Barrys in Birmingham.
The shop is stocked full to the rafters and has a big selection of varied fabrics at great prices.
Cottons, Linens, Chambray, Denim
Lycra, Jerseys, Poly cottons
Crepe de sheen, Viscose/Rayon prints
(Soft and floaty great for summer tops and dresses)
Novelty print cottons from £1/meter (Great craft fabrics)
The staff are very helpful and the shop is well organised.
Greens is open 4 days a week as follows:
Mon 9.30-5pmTues 9.30-5pm
Wed 9.30-5pm

If you are going to visit Greens the shop is located on the main road on the corner of a junction and we would advise parking nearby at Morrisons Supermarket or at the car park closeby to the rear of the shop.

I would just like to point out about the opening hours.
We are closed on Tuesday. and open Saturday 9.30am to 5.30pm.
