How to make a Tassel

Make a quick and easy Tassels  using only a piece of cardboard and a pair of scissors.

The size of the cardboard depends on the size you want your tassel to be. The height of the card will be the length of your tassel.

Here's what you need to do...

WRAP

Wrap yarn/wool around a piece of cardboard approx. 20-25 rotations makes for a plump tassel.

Be sure to leave a nice long tail of yarn when you start and finish, these will become strands in your tassel.

LOOP

Take another short length of yarn, hook it under and tightly tie a double knot at the top end of your cardboard.

WRAP

Tie another short length of yarn around the neck of your tassel and begin to wrap around and around tightly to create a collar. Use a contrasting colour for fun.

CUT

Cut through the loops of your tassel and trim to your desired length.

Hey Presto! You have a super cute Tassel, now what you gonna do with it??
