Make Zipped bags

Make simple little zipped bags in all shapes and sizes with my sewing pattern and instructions.

This project is simple but maybe intermediate because of the zip. If you'd like some coaching on inserting zips GET IN TOUCH

Using just 4 rectangles and a suitable zip you can create these handy zipped bags for all number of uses.

Download the instructions HERE and refer to the images below to help you work through the project.

Materials needed

Sandwich your zip between one piece of lining fabric and one piece of outer fabric

Universal Zipper foot

Zip attached to first side

Insert Zip to the other side

PIN and SEW all the way around the full shape

Optional 'Flat Bottom'

TURN the whole bag through the gap you left in the lining

SEW up the gap in your lining with a tiny 0.3cm top stitch

TA DA! What will you put in your bag??

Why not make three sizes and sit them inside each other or see my other sewing patterns to make this bag part of a matching handmade gift set.

I do hope this has inspired you to go forth and sew.

If you are scared of zips and would like some coaching see my LESSONS

Thanks for reading, please comment and show me how you got on.

Until next time, Happy Crafting
