Spread a little LOVE

Make little felt love hearts with me. Taking time to do a mindful activity like sewing is good for our wellbeing, and sharing your efforts can spread a sense of love and connection.

Making little hearts is an act of kindness, to yourself and to the recipient. Who would you send love to?

MATERIALS FOR THIS PROJECT

If you want to EMBELLISH with embroidery and beads, I recommend doing this first to one layer to avoid sewing right through the heart.

1. START with 2 heart shapes cut in craft felt

TOP TIP - Split floss in half and use into 3 strands at a time

4. Once you are 3/4 around the heart start STUFFING and continue as you sew.

TOP TIP - using a pencil to poke the stuffing in can work well for such small items.

I like to pass the thread through the shape before cutting, to ensure the knot doesn't unravel.

Once you are finished, SQUISH your little heart and make a dozen more!

Think about who might give one to OR look for a participating charity who can distribute them for you.
