Cut your felt crafts FAST

Do you love felt craft but you get bored cutting and prepping? Or your scissor skills are a little wonky?

Did you know that lots of my sewing patterns have FREE SVG CUT FILES available so that you can use with a die cut machine like CRICUT.

The CRICUT design space can handle all kinds of file types but the best kind of image to get going fast is an SVG file. This is because SVGs are vector files and vector graphics work perfectly with die cut machines like that need precise cutting paths.

An example of when I might like to use a die cut machine to cut felt would be my FELT FAIRY LIGHT project. You will most likely want at least 8 -10 bulbs to make an effective garland and if you are adding slogan applique letters, maybe even more.

Each fairy light bulb in this project consists of 3 felt parts, so cutting out can take time and be a bit of a chore.

With a die cut machine like CRICUT the machine does ALL the work for you and all you have to do is choose your colours and design details.

Find FREE SVG CUT FILES in my CRICUT COLLECTION which includes projects like the following below:

CACTI THAT YOU CANT KILL

Multiple felt parts to this cute little project, but using the SVG files with a cut machine, you could have a whole urban jungle of these babies made up in no time.

FESTIVE FAIRY LIGHT GARLAND

Multiple felt bulbs strung together to make a colourful garland. You can add slogan letters to your bulbs or just leave them plain. With a die cutting machine you'll have the bulbs cut out in no time!

FELT FLOWERS

A double layer of intricate petals with an embroidered center creates a pretty garland OR brooch pin. Use a die cut machine in this instance to get the petals cut accurately and quickly so you can spend your time perfecting those french knots.

DONUT WORRY BE HAPPY

This is a simple template but if you want a plate full of these delicious calorie donuts you're going to have 3 parts to cut for each so a cutting machine will be your friend here.

Note this collection is being updated all the time so there may be more next time you look. Also the PDF templates have a small price but the SVG are FREE I promise.

Do you have a die cut machine? If so which one, tell me in the comments...

I hope this article was helpful.

Until next time, Happy Crafting
